BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, BEHEMOTH Members Interviewed In Seattle; Video Available
July 16, 2009Litsa Olsson of Rock Photo Guy conducted an interview with guitarist/vocalist Matt Tuck of Welsh metallers BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE and members of the Polish extreme metal band BEHEMOTH on July 14, 2009 on this year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival at White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, Washington. Watch the two chats chat below.
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE recently entered a Malibu, California studio with producer Don Gilmore (LINKIN PARK, LACUNA COIL) to begin recording its third album for an early 2010 release.
Regarding lyrical themes for the new material, Tuck previously told U.K.'s Metal Hammer magazine, "There's one song that's about not being able to have what you want. Being in the band, it doesn't happen much. When it comes to girls, you can have the pick of the bunch, but you always want what you can't have, y'know… but it's this one chick, man… so it's a song about obsession."
The upcoming CD will be the follow-up to "Scream Aim Fire", which has sold 313,000 copies in the United States since its January 2008 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
BEHEMOTH's ninth full-length studio album, "Evangelion", is scheduled for release on August 7 in Europe via Nuclear Blast Records and August 11 in North America through Metal Blade. The CD was mixed at Miloco Studios in London, England by Colin Richardson, who has previously worked with MACHINE HEAD, SLIPKNOT, NAPALM DEATH and BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, among many others. The digipack edition will include a bonus DVD with behind-the-scenes footage and expanded artwork.
The track "Ov Fire And The Void" is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.
